Peter Brötzmann 1941-2023

It was a very sad day when we learned that Peter Brötzmann had left us. I was lucky to release quite a lot of music by Peter on Smalltown Supersound. I never had much contact with him. He was this larger than life character. And I was a bit scared of him. So I kept a distance - I felt that he liked that. But for me to have been part of his discography is an honour - and it is what makes running a label worth it all. Especially the Chicaco Tentet albums that we released have a very special place in my heart. Thank you for everything Peter and thank your for letting us have been part of your art.
