LINDSTRØM: GREAT PITCHFORK TRACK REVIEW

Here Green recycles a few scraps of melody from Lindstrøm's cinematic, slow-burning "Pesto Og Kolera"-- smart nips and tucks that don't revamp the original, just punch it up and make it better. He rubberizes the scrawny bassline, sneaks in a darting guitar, then hangs a swank filigree of live keys. All the while a lonely shaker snakes through the whole affair. Common to both remixer and remixed, a cocktail of groove and grandeur provides the glue. Ornate prog flourishes cool down the smoldering dirty disco groundwork. Radiating electricity and lust, the remix completes the bridge between Studio 54 and the Eighteenth Street Lounge. Hard to believe Green started with Scandinavian blueprints. (4/5, PITCHFORK)
